We are currently experiencing a high demand for external doors and upvc windows. Lead times are extended slightly and continue to change on a regular basis. The table below provides an indication of our current lead times.

UPDATE - MONDAY 4TH JANUARY 2021

Following the update from the Government on Monday 4th January, as part of the manufacturing and construction industry we will remain open, operate and continue deliveries as planned during this National lockdown.

We are currently experiencing an unprecedented demand for doors and windows. The factories and production teams are now working 24 hours a day 7 days a week to cope with demand. Lead times are extended slightly and continue to change on a regular basis. The table below provides an indication of our current lead times.

Following the update from the Government on Saturday 31st October, as part of the manufacturing and construction industry we will continue to operate and remain open during a second national lockdown.

UPDATE - SATURDAY 1ST AUGUST 2020

We are currently experiencing an unprecedented demand for doors and windows. The factory and production team is currently working 24 hours a day 7 days a week to cope with demand, although lead times are extended and continue to change on a weekly basis. Our sales, transport and service team are all receiving a high level of calls and will endeavour to assist and help you efficiently as possible.

UPDATE - WEDNESDAY 6TH MAY 2020

Since the start of Covid-19, I am sure that you will appreciate that the safety of our staff and their families are paramount to us and we need to ensure that they are kept safe at all times. In addition to the temporary closure of our supply chain, this lead us to make the difficult decision to suspend all manufacturing operations on 25th March 2020.

Several weeks on and after careful consideration within the industry, our supply chain and customers. Production (excluding composite doors) is planning to reopen with a phased safe return of the production team as of 6th May 2020. Measures and procedures have been put in place which will enable the factories to follow and enforce strict guidelines outlined by the Government. Lead times will be extended but this will be reviewed on a weekly basis as more staff are integrated back into the factory over the coming weeks.

All sales and office staff continue to work remotely from home and you can place orders and request quotes as normal via the website, email or phone.

Deliveries/Collections

Existing orders that were placed prior to the factory shutdown on 25th March 2020 will be given priority and delivery dates will be confirmed from w/c 18th May. Any new orders received over the last 6 weeks excluding composite doors will be released into production and delivered on a first come first served basis. A delivery date for these orders will be confirmed in due course.

We will also be open for collections, but we ask that you call 01530 515161 in advance to arrange any collections.

UPDATE - WEDNESDAY 25TH MARCH 2020

New Orders/Quotes

House of Windows remains open for business with staff working remotely from home and any new orders and quotes received during the temporary closure period can still be processed as normal but with extended lead times. We anticipate a large volume of orders once the Government restrictions have been lifted and orders are currently being allocated on a 'first come, first served basis'. A delivery date for new orders will be confirmed to you in writing once manufacturing resumes.

Temporary Suspension of Production & Delivery

Following the temporary closure of our major suppliers of glass, panels and profile systems after the government's advice on Monday 23rd March 2020, we can no longer continue operating production or provide daily deliveries to our customers. Despite our best efforts to source materials to fulfil existing orders, it's just not been possible. The difficult decision has been made to temporarily close our premises as of Wednesday 25th March 2020 with all deliveries and collections postponed.

From Wednesday 25th March 2020 all pending orders have been placed on hold until further notice.

We understand this is very frustrating but the safety of our employees, their families and our customers is paramount and we appreciate your patience during this difficult time. We will review our position on a regular basis following the Governments advice and advise you immediately with any changes.

Please be assured though, no orders have been cancelled, only put on hold with a temporary delay. We will endeavour to fulfil all existing orders as soon as possible once the Government restrictions have been lifted and production recommences.

Customer Service
