  • Sizes stated should be the overall frame size including any cill and frame extensions (if required).
  • All dimensions to be supplied in Metric.
  • All frame styles are viewed from outside.
  • We do not make any fitting allowances on the sizes you provide. The size you state will be the size we manufacture.

External Cill:

The integrated cill on sash windows combines aesthetic charm with functional benefits. It seamlessly blends with the bottom section of the window, enhancing its visual appeal while also providing protection against moisture damage by deflecting water away from the frame. We offer two different sizes; 150mm for windows installed on an existing cill and 210mm for installations where a projecting cill is required.

A frame extender allows you to increase the thickness of the window frame. Useful for properties with deep plaster, render or tiles. 30mm and 50mm extensions are available.

Remember, if you require any extensions, these need to be included in the overall dimensions.

Window Energy Rating (WER)

The frames and sashes are multi chambered and use the power of specialised argon gas to help trap heat between the panes. Our modern double glazed sash windows achieve an improved U Value of 1.2 W/m2K. A sash window with a U Value of 1.2 demonstrates excellent thermal performance, indicating minimal heat loss and efficient insulation properties.

Astragal Bars

Include a bar layout on your new sash windows for added character. Astragal bars are fixed onto the surface of the glass and are accompanied by back-to-back spacer bars inside the double-glazed unit to give the appearance of separate panes

Toughened glass is upto 5 times as strong as ordinary glass. Toughened safety glass should be fitted in all windows or glazed areas that are lower than 800mm from the floor level.

Pilkington Optiphon is an acoustic laminated glass that offers excellent noise reduction without compromising on light transmittance or impact performance. Two pieces of glass are put together with a noise reducing interlayer typically 6.8mm thick. This glass offers the dual benefit of noise reduction and security.

Locking window handles are available in black, white, brushed chrome, gold, chrome, antique black or satin silver and supplied with a key.

Run-Through Sash Horns

Our run through sash horns aren’t simply stuck onto the sash, they’re incorporated into the structure of the window itself. All of our run through sash horns replicate the traditional joinery techniques used in the creation of traditional timber sashes. This gives the overall window a much more authentic appearance than sashes with bolt on sash horns.

Standard

As standard, the locking system holds the sash window shut by fastening the midrails together.

PAS24 Enhanced Security Upgrade

Our double glazed sash windows deliver the most advanced levels of security without adding complex operations. They are practical and come with all the safety features a homeowner would need. They have the option to take advantage of a comprehensive high security PAS24 package, which meets the latest requirements for new builds.

Trickle vents allow you to control ventilation and air circulation, helping to reduce condensation and mould. They provide you with a small amount of fresh air into the building without letting a lot of heat escape.

Fire Escape

If your window opening isn’t large enough to comply with the requirements for means of escape, you have the option to request a fire escape facility. In order for a window to comply with the regulations covering means of escape, the window must provide an unobstructed opening of at least 0.33m²

Travel Restrictors

Travel restrictors are an optional safety feature that has been designed to limit the opening of the window by preventing the bottom sash to travel beyond a certain point. If requested, the travel restrictors will be positioned on the internal side of the top sash.

Pole Eyes

Primarily designed to be fitted to the top rail of the top sash. The pole eye enables use of a pole with hook (not supplied) to operate any windows that are positioned too high to operate by hand.
